Moaralm With Snow Shoes
Again on the way ... this time in Hohentauern, Triebental - Bergerhube (1198m) - Moaralm (1536m).
It's a nice short walk up to the Moaralm from the Bergerhube, where you can leave your car.
First it was a little bit cloudy, but then the sun came out ... blue sky, green woods and white snow - a perfect color match.
There are many beautiful trails for alpine touring or hiking ... the region is part of the Via Alpina (Purple Trail in Austria).
The Purple Trail offers wonderful views at the Hochobir in Südkärnten, gentle hills at the Koralm meadow, the Gesäuse and Kalkalpen national parks, the largest monastic library of the world in Admont, the beautiful and in no way dead “Totes Gebirge” (“Dead Mountains”), the Cultural Heritage Region Hallstatt at the feet of the Dachstein, the ice cave “Eisriesenwelt” in Werfen and the legendary “Übergossene Alm” (Coated Alp) at the Hochkönig.
We had a good time ... taking pictures and enjoying the sun.
