Living Labs Global

I attended a very interesting conference in Zurich in May. The participants were invited to do a video documentary with mobile phones - the result is online now:

This documentary of the Living Labs Global Summit, held in Zurich on May 15 2009, was made by participants acting as Living Labs Reporters utilizing mobile phones as video cameras. The production was managed by Ubiqa, a media company that has worked with the City of Caceres in using the same participatory process to engage citizens in documenting their neighbourhoods (Aldea Doc).

Special thanks to Itxaso from Úbiqa, Bilbao and Cristina from AldeaLab, Cáceres!

Austria's second largest city finally opens up to the world ;)
22th to 23th November 2008
GRAZ, Styria, Austria

BarCamp is an international network of user generated conferences — open, participatory workshop-events, whose content is provided by participants — often focusing on early-stage web applications, and related open source technologies, social protocols, and open data formats.
  • 1st Rule: You do talk about Bar Camp.
  • 2nd Rule: You do blog about Bar Camp.
  • 3rd Rule: If you want to present, you must write your topic and name in a presentation slot.
  • 4th Rule: Only three word intros.
  • 5th Rule: As many presentations at a time as facilities allow for.
  • 6th Rule: No pre-scheduled presentations, no tourists.
  • 7th Rule: Presentations will go on as long as they have to or until they run into another presentation slot.
  • 8th Rule: If this is your first time at BarCamp, you HAVE to present. (Ok, you don’t really HAVE to, but try to find someone to present with, or at least ask questions and be an interactive participant.)

bioswg.com

A "pro bono" project :-)

A friend of mine studies in Carinthia and is quite busy meeting electronic challenges.

Have a look at bioswg.com and gather information concerning the project AICC (artificial intelligence concept car) - and yes, the page's in English ;-)

Again special thanks to Arcsin and his templates!

Once again with feeling *g*

A new example how Arcsin and his free templates helped me ... very nice floating concept. Friends of mine started their own business, so I helped building this page:

Club Zukunft - Design

The next Club Zukunft is on 21st November, for detailed information please go to wirtschaft.graz.at!

Creative Graz Night

EBB "on the job" ... watching the performance of a talented dancer :-)

What began in spring 2007 ended with a real highlight: On 8th November we presented the 10 awarded projects of our creativity contest.

Although the night lasted longer than planned I'd say that the event was a real success.

We try to present all projects, so I'm quite busy preparing subpages :-)

The location was perfect, it's called the Dom im Berg.

Information concerning the Creative Graz Award and the Creative Graz Night (in German) are available on creative.graz.at - Podcasts are online, too: cga.clubzukunft.at

Creative Graz Night

Long time no post - I'm quite busy at the moment.

Creative Graz Award 2007

Another project of our department - the Creative Graz Award.

We are looking for creative projects within the town of Graz and we've launched a brand-new website www.creative.graz.at.

I'm part of the award team, my statement concerning the award is to be seen as podcast (in German).

Bionics 2007-07-04

Long time no post! No wonder, I've been quite busy :-)

The Economy Department of Graz organised the second "Club Zukunft" 2007, this time the topic was bionics.

It was a very interesting evening, you can watch a short review and statements as podcasts on www.clubzukunft.at (in German).

Web 2.0, Semantic Web, Knowledge Management

The Economy Department of Graz arranges very interesting events throughout the year, e. g. the 'Club Zukunft' series.

Renowned science and business personalities discuss up to date topics. They try to explain why certain topics are newsworthy and important for economy & business.

In April we started this year's series with 'Web 2.0, Semantic Web & Knowledge Management' (design by www.ipu.at).

It was a very interesting evening with competent explanations, definitions and statements. All events are available as podcasts via www.clubzukunft.at (in German - btw, 'Zukunft' means 'future').

It's part of my job to support the scheduling. This time I was even allowed to comment on the event (also in German).

:-)
